This message is addressed to Polkasweetie, Triple H and everybody who can help.

I have been following this forum for quite a long time and each time when it deals with the EEA Family Permit, the answers differ. Hence I decided to create this new topic with a view to help everybody that needs to understand what the EEA Family Permit is all about, Why are people afraid to go there? Why so many questions of what to present once the interview is set? That's why also I am addressing this topic to our Experts namely Polkasweetie and Triple H. Others that know or who have experienced the interviews, please share your experiences to reassure us who has to do the same thing in order to be with our spouse who is a EEA National.

    My questions then are

    1. If I am a Non Visa National who can travel to the UK for 6 months, Can I when I am in England, go to the Home Office and stated that my wife who has decided to exercise her treaty rights is going to look for a job, therefore I would like to acquire an EEA Family Permit because I want to be with my family. Can this be done? If yes what are the procedures.

    2. Assumedly I want to acquire the EEA Family Permit before I travel, what are the documents that need to be produced? I need the official list.

2a. What are likely the questiopns that can be asked?

2b. Can they refuse the permit?

2c. If so will it be stamped in my passport that the permit was refused?

2d. Will it affect my wife's quset to exercise her treaty rights in the UK?

Polkasweetie and Triple H, please give me the answers honestly. Thank you.

People who have been succesful please do share your experience in my topic so that others would be benefitted

I agree that the topic has been touched time and time again but not answered. As I mentioned in my first post, I know that it has been asked but if by any chance info has been disseminated they have to be either fragmented and I am wondering if it is still as before April 2006 after some amendments.

Triple H you mentioned a few days ago that you realised that it is getting very difficult to acquire the EEA Family Permit.

Please highlight us that's why we come to this forum to learn more.

Does it means by your reply that you consider my thread a "closed case"because it was discussed before.

I thought that the purpose of this forum is to highlight people like myself who has some apprehension to deal with the EEA Family Permit.

I really need the help. If you do not want to answer, I am asking the others who got through to assist me.

How many times I have seen a lot of threads being unanswered, I wonder what has become of those desperate persons

Are we running away from answering the straight forward question in my initial post or are we trying to identify who is who?

This forum I understand is to share views and experiences but not to run investigative measures to identify the authors of different querries.

My sole purpose to be here is acquire information like the others not to conduct study or survey and be considered as the fool. Is it a problem to exercise my rights on this forum? I did not offend anybody here..as far as I understand..

I need some reassurance and answers..that's all

    Where are the others?

You guys who day in and out ask about the EEA Family Permit, did you get through with them?

Can you share with the forum how it happened.?

I am nervous. My wife who is the EEA National does not have a job as yet and she does not have a degree.

    Will this affect my eligibility?

Relax EEFARE, Triple H will assist you. I am confident She knows the subject matter and she promised you that she would check it tomorrow. I know the feeling and I am in a similar situation. I will be in a better position after I will read the posts tomorrow. You were very personal with the moderator, you need to be patient. They need to check the accuracy of all their statemnts since everybody look up and forward to their responses.

Relax and be cool like us in the Caribbean. Ya mon!!!

EFFARE I am sorry I integrated my quote with my post. I am not that so well verse with the puter. I wanted to say that the quote mentioned by Triple H was my situation. I am planning to move to the UK next year November or December after I would have completed my contract with my organisation. You were right no actual answer was given to my concerns. What was the time frame of the validity for the Family Permit . I also asked about opening of bank accounts and nobody answers .You were somehow right by being the loudmouth for all of us here. I am very laidback especially coming from the Caribbean. Yeah mon!!!
