Thanks to the advice that I obtained from the forum, I applied correctly and I have just got the EEA family permit for six months, now I am in the United Kingdom and we want to know what is the right time to send the application form to apply for 5 years of residence ... Shall I send it at the end of the 6 months? and We are wondering whether the extension is a formality or there is a risk that once that I have got my resident permit granted and i have got the Visa issued in the British Embassy in my country there is a still a chance to have my residence permit refused?
Of course that we have a genuine relationship

The second question is that if I need a Normal visa Schengen to travel to france (my wife is french) or there is a diferent procedure as I hold a EEA family permit?
We would be grateful again from any information

yes you need a visa to go to france but this should be issued free of charge without delay as long as your spouse is travelling with you, luckily for you the french are the most liberal when it comes to issuing visas to eu spouses,so give it a try

RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR EEA FAMILY PERMIT

Hello, I would be really grateful if you are able to provide me with the next question that was the first part of my last post:

i would advise you apply for your 5 year residence permit a month before expiration ,it is very good that your relationship is geniunebut the home office would like to know if you spouse is exrcising her treaty rights in the Uk ,in essence they would like to know if she is working or selfemployed or a student,at least one of you must be performing some economic activity in the Uk .so it would be beneficial if you and your spouse or one of you start something soon before applying, once you work ,the rest is mere formalities ,although the home office has a reputation of delaying in issuing the residence permits not because its their fault but because as they claim they are short staffed.good luck
