You're welcome. Same for everybody else!

I'm here to help. We are new to the UK and not familiar with all its rules and regulations. Every little bit helps.

by the way man. is it very hard to get a job in the uk. and once i get the job. they just need to look at the family permit and they allow me to get the job emmeditly. or i still have to show proof other than family permit. i have read in couple of your forms that the family permit is enough. but i am still confused because this is not what i see any where else.

    wish u can help..

    Beata,

YOu and I are in the same situation. MY wife is Polish and I'm Filipino. When we arrvived here from the US in July 2005, we were not clear whether I can work or not, as I was non-EEA. Our understanding was, she needed to find work first coz she is the EEA National, then when she finds work, only then can I work. 3 weeks here already and, as the other thread said, we found out I can work immediately, so I looked for a job right away. My wife and I surfed the internet, signed up for agencies to help us lok for jobs, and then walked around London, hand-delivering our CVs to businesses and employers, and we were doing this everyday. We found work eventually within 2 months. About looking for work, I say you reap what you sow. The efforts that you put in looking for a job will determine how soon you'll find one.

So, in answering yoru question, yes your husband can work here the moment you guys leave the plane in the airport. He will just need to show his family permit as proof that he is allowed to take up employment here. YOu on the other hand, since you're an EEA National, all you need to show is your passport or National ID to prove your an EEA National, and you can work right away. YOur right to work is inherent from your nationality, Poland being part of the EU since May 2004. Your husband's right to work is inherent from his marriage to you. When your husband finds work, he will also need to show a marriage license or certificate to prove the union.
