Hi. I'm a New Yorker moving to Frankfurt for work in September. It would be great to know some fun people in town!
    Let's see...I'm female, I'm 27 ... and speak English, German, and French.

    Hi
I'm also moving to Frankfurt next month (probably).
Since you come from New York, a big city, a bit like me (Paris, then Brussels), I'm interested to know if you've done some research about Frankfurt, the life over there..culture, going out, accomodations, and so on..because my concern is that it's a rather small city, and I'm afraid I'm gonna get bored!

    Out and About in Frankfurt

There's actually a lot to do in Frankfurt. You can find more or less anything there, just not that much of any one thing. (Except for Wurst...haha!) This is different from a big city like New York or Paris, where you can find everything and a lot of it! Also, the population is much smaller, so you start running into the same people all the time, which was a strange experience for me, as a New Yorker.
In terms of finding things to do, I actually found the weekly magazines that list events in the city, like Frankfurt Journal, etc. pretty helpful.

    welcome to Frankfurt

Hi there :) well, as for myself I used to live near NYC, but just near ;-) in NJ. Anyways I am in Frankfurt here as a relocation firm so I can give you a bit input as to what is hop and what is flop.

All in all Frankfurt is a rather small city with 500 k people compared to New York, yet it is the only city in Germany with an actual skyline and this is just one of the reasons why I love this city as I do.

Well, if you look at Frankfurt life for many really is based on work as they live with their families in the outskirts of the town. But this is from my impression more something that can be matched for families as living space is rather expensive here.
Frankfurt is very international you can find just about any culinary flavour you prefer and it has nice parks just to relax. Along the Main you will find good possibilities to go rollerskating, jogging and go a bit cycling down to Offenbach where there is a nice old mill with a restaurant.
As you are from the USA and surely rather communicative (was my impression from 4 years of USA :) *only to the best*) going out, getting into a sports club or just do a bit of running on "runday as monday".
Well, just trying to give you a short impression of the complete picture, you just have to experience life here.
Anyways I am always open-minded for a conversation, just give me a short note. Take care and a good flight to Frankfurt.
