Hello everybody. I am new to the forums here and am inquiring to see if anyone has gone through what I am about to do. I will be (hopefully) moving to London in the coming months to become the "Sole Representative" of a US based company. There are special visa and tax concerns / privileges. I was hoping that perhaps someone has gone through this before and can save me 100 hours of research and a few headaches. If you can help, I will gladly take you out for a few beers! Hope to hear something... Lars
Sole representative Hi Lars I can advise you on this if you email me at starrd@talk21.com Kind regards Dudu
As I said a while ago in response to a French question, it seems quite simple. If the money you make is more than £50,000, you must be registered with H M Customs & Excise for VAT. If yur salary is more than £3 500, you must register with DSS Class 2 National Insurance Contributions (NIC). If profits are more than £7 010 you'll pay Class 4 NIC @ 6% to £24 180. You should find more information at H M Customs & Excise. You will also find other information on this wbsite here.
