My dear, going to Southern Italy to find employment is truly a mission, thousand of italian people have to go to the North and outside italy to look for a job. In the south unless you know somebody who can reccomend you into the job is very unlikely they will take you and if you are over 30 most of the companies/firms won't be interested. This is because the firms have tax advantages if they employ young people.

It will be very difficult for you to get a proper VISA unless one of you is Italian or your husband works for NATO>

Somehow being realistic I do not see this happening.... unless you manage to corrupt one of the officer and bribe him to give you a VISA.

Best option , wait until you retire and then see if they let you stay...
