    Hi,

    how is living in Höngg?

I want to know 'all' about:
    • air quality (bad smells (I know there's a sewage treatment plant...), smog, etc,...)
    • water quality (Is it possible to swim in Limmat? What about water quality in your homes?),
    • noises (Is it the most silent part of Zürich?)
    • transport,
    • price of apartments (Are prices there the lowest in Zürich? How much is a square meter?).
Thanks in advance for your comments!
    Kind regards,
    L.

But Höngg is just part of the Zurich area (quarter 10) as it has been incorporated nearly a century ago (1934), not that far from the centre actually, just on the north west.
But you can still see that it's not as urban as central Zurich as it has reserved its leafy and quiet atmosphere... looks like a small village in the countryside.
On of the main advantage thought, is that it is also north of district 5, known as Zurich West, also called the Industriequartier and this is a great spot to party and meet people, one of the most lively area of Zurich (but bot as cosmopolitan as District 4, and more affordable!). It's a great location, especially in summer.

You can also check the blogs of expats in Zurich and ask for their opinions.

Please post here your finding :thumbup:

Thanks for your reply. I will check the blogs.

Another question: Is Höngg among the cheapest quarters of Zürich when we consider housing (i.e. buying an apartment)?

Probably not the cheapest, but less expensive than district 5 or more central district while being attractive with a greener location not far fro the city centre.
