My friends have applied for EEA2 and EEA4 end of last May.
They entered a French civil partnership contract in 2001 at the French consulat in London. One is French the other one is Argentinian. The Argentinian overstayed in the UK for more than 6 years! But has been living with the French since early 2001. They have got plenty of documents proving their genuine relationship, bank statement, original of the civil partnership contract, photographs...
The French has been working in the UK since 1997, is home owner, never been unemployed, so no problems with EU treaty right.
I advised them to apply through a sollicitor, they didn't want to spend the money! My question is : since they have already applied to H.O can their their application be rejecter by H.O or as I have read, H.O cannot reject it since the French is exercising his treated right.
Finally were they right to save on sollicitor fees????
    Thanks
