I am searching any information about Karol and Helena Darowski and their daughter MARIA. They were polish living in poland.They had a girl Maria in 1936 and then immigrates in England around 1940. Maria married an egyptian student around 1956. She then lived till 1964 in Cairo. She moved to Spain and she died in Ibiza.
I know that my mother in law was born in poland but I do not know the city. Do you think the exact place of birth will be written on her british marriage certificate?
I need some information about polish citizens who immigrate to England during the war. Did they get the british nationality? and about the polish nationality? Did they loose it by leaving the country?

thanks for your help. I found my mother in law marriage certificate in UK. I just discovered that her exact family name is Veryho-Darowski. Unfortunately they do not mention her nationality and the place of birth on the certificate. Do you know a way to find the place of birth.?

What a good idea! After hours and hours of research in the national archives, I decided to send them a message for information. I did not give up and I am still on internet everyday looking for the naturalisation certificate. I will tell you how long it will take to receive the information from UK. By the way my husband sent an e-mail to the polish embassy but not reply!!!!!!!!!! .
