We left the USA for the Philippines in 2013 and completed building our retirement home on the island of Samar. In 2017, we traveled to and set up another residence on the island of Guam, and now share our retirement between these two different, yet similar, paradises. With nearly 18 years of living in the Western Pacific - From the Philippines to Guam - I share my thoughts, opinions, inspirations, and slices of daily life... all from the aspect of life in the "Tropic Shade." Our tropical island lifestyle is all about enjoying the most valued and simple pleasures, along with the unspoiled natural beauty of the islands.
