New profile style on EasyExpat.com

Published 2012-10-09 09:14:05

As a part of our series of improvement for your browsing experience on EasyExpat.com (see about our new design and organisation here and about our new headers there) we have worked on the member profiles.

Our new member profile includes a tab presentation:

  • Profile: profile photo, username, nationality, country where you live, city, languages, activities...etc; along with the user posts on the forums and some user statistics.
  • Contacts: registered users will be able to contact members here, either by email or by direct personal message (PM).
  • Comments: All the comments that the member posted at the bottom of our city-guide articles will be listed on this tab. If you've got any information and tips on the life abroad that could be useful in this website, you can help other expatriates in sharing your experience. See HERE for more information.

You find all the expats near where you live thanks to our network of expatriates and browse through their profiles (more information in our article about that functionality), see their details, their classifieds, read their CV or job offers maybe.

Friends/Foes: As a member on EasyExpat.com, you have the possibility to had some users as friends friends (or foes foes) to follow them specifically and allow for specific actions. The list of friends is shown on your profile in the Contact tab. Posts made by foes will be hidden. Friends have also the possibility to post messages on your forum's wall :-) More information on how to use the forums here.

Upload your profile photo

Last but not least, if you haven't done so already, members should upload  a photo for their avatar. It's much nicer to see who you are talking to ;-)

In the meantime you will have our default avatar:

Default avatar female default avatar male Default avatar no sex mentionned

So, to all members, before you forget, go here and upload you favorite photo!
