1. Why did you move abroad?

Belgrade is my home, but I keep in touch with others through email...and my blog.

4. What's your favorite thing about being an expat in Serbia?
The people, the proximity to other countries, the lifestyle.

5. What’s the worst thing about being an expat in Serbia?
Honestly, I can’t think of anything terribly bad.

6. What do you miss most?
Thrift shops, big bookstores, the efficiency of how things work in the West.

7. What custom/ habits do you find most strange about your adopted culture?
It’s not strange to me anymore...

8. What is a myth about your adopted country?
Unfortunately, it’s probably that Serbia is not a ‘safe’ country to travel to. Not true.

9. What advice would you give other expats?
Don’t judge the country you’re in by your own standards.

10. When and why did you start your blog?
I started in March 2008 after having discovered the City Daily Photos chain.

I’ve come to know in cyberspace many, many nice people, several of whom I have visited in person. I’ve been visited in Belgrade by several readers, too.
