Senior Accountant, Sliema

Our client is looking for a highly motivated person to join their Client Accounting department within the group. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the day-to-day accounting requirements within the department.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible of a small portfolio of clients
• Manage the accounting team
• Review team members' work for accuracy and compliance
• Compiling of management accounts and completing VAT Returns
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by analysing and summarizing accounting information
• Liaise with auditors
• Perform other tasks as may be delegated by the Finance Manager from time to time

Requirements:
• In possession of a university degree in accounting or in final stages of ACCA/ACA qualifications.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Able to work against deadlines and deliver in a timely manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with MS office applications, particularly Excel
• Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes, and procedures
• Ability to work on own initiative and in a team
