Landscape and horticultural assistant

Looking for a Qualified Horticulturalist Assistant to support the Landscape supervisor in the Cayman Islands!

• Must have a landscaping / horticultural Qualification
• Knowledge of Tropical Flora and Fauna
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Knowledge of Landscaping equipment usage
• Strong work ethic, organisation and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Clean police record Required
• Valid Drivers License Required
• Computer skills including MS Excel and word
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays IF needed
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Duties

• Supervision of staff on all maintenance contracts
• Training Staff – Techniques / Equipment / Horticultural practices
• Pest Control and Plant care
• Oversee nursery work and propagation
• Quoting based on pest control and small projects
• Creating plant profile training manual based on horticultural knowledge
• Simple irrigation checks – diagnostics / Fault finding / basic repairs
• Supervise general health and safety on site
• Help with schedule and day to day operations
• Occasional help on installation sites
• Any other duties as and when required
