Many on-line hotel search engines allow you to view previous guest's reviews so you may ascertain a pleasant stay. For a hotel downtown there is The Regal Biltmore, Hilton Checkers Los Angeles, and the Hotel Figueroa all downtown. For a bit less expensive option downtown there is the Super 8 Motel (telephone 1(888) 637-8272) or the Stillwell Hotel.

In Hollywood there is the Magic Castle Hotel which features luxurious rooms and a pool for a premium price. There is also the Hollywood Roosevelt where the first Oscars were awarded. One of the hottest hotels featuring design by Phillipe Starck and the classy SkyBar lies in West Hollywood, the Mondrian Hotel.

If you truly cannot get enough of Disneyland, there are always the three Disney-centric hotels in Anaheim. The Disneyland Hotel on 1150 Magic Way Ave has 990 rooms and a Captain Hook pirate ship in the pool. The Disney Pier Hotel on Disneyland Dr. offers a view of Paradise Pier from California Adventure. The Grand Californian Hotel is also located within California Adventure and all three can be booked by looking at www.disneyland.com and looking under "Disneyland Resort". For more affordable hotels near Disneyland there is a Motel 6, Econo Lodge, Travellodge, and many others. There is also the Fillerton Hacienda Hostel for young adults (714) 738-3721.

To sample some of the most expensive hotels in Beverly Hills, there is the historic The Beverly Hills Hotel. There is also the exclusive Mosaic Hotel near Rodeo Drive.

For a much less expensive option there is Hollywood Hostel on 6820 Hollywood Blvd. http//:www.craigslist.com also offers many short-term rentals along with a community forum that can offer recommendations.

For a more intimate experience a B&B might be the perfect answer. The site http://www.bedandbreakfast.com is a great search engine with a map of LA to make sure you are located where you want to be.
