Most hotels provide a free broadband internet connection to guests and many public libraries also have free internet terminals. There are now Sidewalk Express internet cafés in many European cities including Stockholm. These centres provide a large number of internet terminals which you can use after buying a ticket from the ticket machine. Connection to the inernet costs two euros or nineteen kr. per hour. Sidewalk cafés are located at the Stockholm central train station, as well as at Arlanda arport.

A connection with Bredbandsbolaget, for example, will cost from 199 SEK/€21 per month for 1 Mbit/s adsl, to 349 SEK/€42 per month for 24Mbit/s adsl. With TeliaSonera you’ll be paying about the same: 250kbit/s adsl for 199 SEK/month (€21).
Com Hem is Sweden’s largest cable internet provider. They charge 99 SEK/ €10 per month for 256kbit/s download and 128kbit/s upload. For 24Mbit/s download and 1Mbit/s upload you’ll pay 339 SEK/month (€36) and 8Mbit/s upload capacity is offered in some areas for an extra 60SEK.
