These healthcare centres can also give you information about health check-ups for children or about parental care. Doctors there can also refer you to a specialist if necessary.

The local emergency ward – Närakut - provides immediate treatment for minor injuries and illnesses. It’s open daily from 8am to 10pm but you should call before going there.
City Akuten is located at Apelbergsgatan 48, Hötorget metro station, and provides semi-emergency medical treatment on weekdays. No appointment is required.

Dental care is free in Sweden up to the age of 19 years of age. After this you have to pay part or the entire cost of dental care yourself.
