A good way to find an internship is by checking Korean university job posting boards. In the case of SNU you may have more luck consulting the College of Business board, (CBA). You may need a student ID to access some of these boards – worth getting if you're serious about finding a decent internship!
Networking is important in Korea and when it comes to most of the foreign banks getting an internship is still largely a question of having the right personal connections. First aim for some of the established programmes in Asia like those at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley Young Fellows. Keep in mind that competition is fierce for such placements.
Since competition for internships is strong start your search well ahead of time. Traditionally attendance at a University abroad increased your chances of getting in but Korean locals have an advantage when it comes to networking. They know sooner if and when there is an opening. Locals generally have a deeper understanding of the Korean markets and their systems, as well as familiarity with Korean corporate culture, regulations and "Koreanized" terminology. Make it a priority to gain this kind of knowledge for yourself and be persistent.
