MediaCorp TV is the only television broadcasting company in Singapore, with 7 free channels – Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U, TV Mobile, Suria, Central (which broadcasts Arts Central, Kids Central and Vasantham Central) & Channel NewsAsia, and the closer you live to the Singapore-Johor Bahru Causeway the more chaneels you could pick up from neighbouring Malaysia. If you want more than just the freely available terrestial channels, however, cable and satellite television would be the way to access channels from other Asian countries, Australia and further afield.
