Hotels in Bucharest

Bucharest has a wide array of hotels, for all budgets and catering to all categories customers. Most hotels are located either in the city centre, but a lot of business hotels can also be found in the Northern area, along the road between the centre and the Henri Coandă international airport, as well as around the business district of the city, located in the Băneasa area. International hotel chains have been increasingly present in Romania's capital for the past two decades, and are your best bet when it comes to quality of the services offered.

Prices vary according to season, number of stars and location, but you can expect to pay between 75 and 125 euro a night for a double room in the centre, while hotels located further away charge less.

Bed& Breakfast in Bucharest

Bed & breakfast establishments, in the sense of small family-owned lodgings that offer accommodation and breakfast, are less common in Bucharest. The bed & breakfast lodgings listed on specialized booking websites such as www.bedandbreakfast.com are furnished apartments or studios rented out on a short-term basis. Keep in mind, however, that these seldom provide breakfast.

Most hotels in the city offer breakfast included in the price of the room, and if you would like a service more personalized than the one of a chain hotel, with breakfast included, smaller boutique hotels are a good option.

Hostels in Bucharest

Bucharest has tens of good and relatively inexpensive hostels spread throughout the city centre. The average price for a hostel bed in a shared dorm is around 7-15 euro, depending on location and season. Hostels usually provide breakfast and free wi-fi, as well as city tours and trips.

Hostelling International is a good starting point for finding a hostel, but keep in mind that the city also has a plentiful offer of independent hostels offering high quality service.
