Woqod is the producer and overall distributor for liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in Doha. Woqod distributes 12 kg and 6 kg cylinders (called Shafaf) suitable for flats and small villas. These cylinders are transparent, and safer than traditional steel canisters (which are being phased out). Larger cylinders are available for businesses and heavy users.

Gas Rates in Qatar

A new 12 kg cylinder costs QR 350, or QR 365 with gas.

A list of places to buy cylinders is available from Woqod. You must also purchase a regulator for QR 45 to QR 100. Once you own a cylinder you pay to fill it with gas.

• Submit to a QGEWC service center

Once your application is processed you will receive an electricity and customer number. You can use these to register for a QGEWC account online and pay your bills online.
