In many rental situations, services will be bundled and a collective bill will be issued once a month. These costs may also be incorporated into the price of rent in some places.
Connection
If you are registering a new account, you may need to go to the provider's office and fill out a service application. In a new residence or if you have purchased a place, you may need to establish the system. Call your preferred provider as soon as possible and a technician will be sent to set up the utilities.
Payment
Payment can be done through automatic debit arrangement on your bank account or automatic charging arrangement on your credit card with the accredited partners of your provider. Cash and check payments can also be made by visiting the utility office and other accredited banks and payment centers. You can also pay online through Internet Banking. Late payments are assessed a penalty. Non-payment of fees results in disconnection of service.
Gas
Most households use Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). However, the growing trend now is to use electricity for heating and cooking.
LPG tanks are usually bought directly from stores who are LPG dealers or suppliers. Ensure that your stove or gas range is equipped with a connection to LPG tanks.
Providers
Rates
The average price of an 11 kilogram tank of LPG ranges from PHP 500 to PHP 700. Oil players adjust LPG prices monthly. Most households consume an 11 kilogram tank of LPG within one or two months.
Electricity
A credit meter is usually supplied and regular bills are sent to the customer following meter readings. For new customers, the provider may ask for a bill deposit and a meter deposit.
Electrical voltage in Manila is 220v, 60HZ. The 2-pronged plug (Type A) and 3-pronged plug (Type B) is used. Light fittings are screw types.

The Manila Electric Company or Meralco is Manila's only electric power distributor.
Rates
Most households consume around 100 kWh to 300 kWh per month which amounts to a total charge of between PHP 700 to PHP 3000 per month according to Meralco's rates archive for January 2016. Meralco adjusts power rates monthly.
Water
