Some things to think about are:

• Give notice at work
• Cancel your contracts for rent and utilities
• If necessary, hire a real estate agent to help settle matters
• Close your bank account
• Contact your consulate for details on tax and pension matters
• Hire a moving company
• If you have children, look into school registration and transferring of records

Prepare for Your Arrival

Along with shutting down your foreign house, you will need to prepare your next location. If this location is not your home country, you will need to follow many of the same steps from when you established yourself in Dublin.
