In Germany, you are free to visit any doctor you like. You can make appointments quickly and easily. Also, you do not have to see a GP before visiting a private specialist. Most Germans have a favourite GP and many maintain a relationship with more than one but if they need to see a specialist they would not waste time seeing a GP first. Another plus point about healthcare in Germany is that there are plenty of specialists. So you can be sure that you are getting the best advice in the soonest possible manner.
The downside is that medical costs are high. There is no such thing as "free" treatment in Germany, not even in state hospitals. All care, including emergencies, has to be paid for by you or your health insurance! Hence, make sure your insurance is up-to-date and covers all your needs.
