The local contract applies in two distinct cases:
- The employee is recruited directly from abroad in a local company or subsidiary of a large group;
- Or he is dispatched with such status, the emp loyeur.
For the latter, the advantage is primarily financial, since the employee is subject to local contract labor law - and the wage scale - from its host country.
Sometimes the local contract is subject to additional benefits, such as linking the system of social security or retirement home (contribution to the Fund of the French Abroad - CFE for example), language training, a proper social security coverage, the distr ibution of round trips by plane, free accommodation, support the education of
