    There are 4 main mobile phone operators in Poland. They offer both monthly subscriptions or top-up phone numbers:

    • Era [ www.era.pl ] is the leading mobile phone network operator in Poland, working on GSM and UMTS standard (owned by T-Mobile)
    • Plus GSM [ www.plus.pl ] operates on GSM, UMTS and WLAN networks (owned by Vodafone)
    • Orange [ www.orange.pl ] operates on GSM, UMTS and WLAN networks
    • Play [ www.playmobile.pl ] the newest Polish mobile operator, working on UMTS network in major cities (outside of UMTS coverage, uses Plus GSM network)

    There are the following top-up options and virtual operators:

    Prices vary depending on offer but the average price per minute for top-up phones is 0.70 PLN.
