    Poland is a member of the European Union, and is part of the Schengen area for freedom of movement. This makes travel really easy within the Schengen area. Quite often, you won't even feel like you've crossed a border between two countries as you can just drive through two Schengen countries.

    If you are a member of the European Union, you won't have any declaration to make when entering Poland.
    As a general point, we will distinguish between a travel within the European Union and outside the EU space.

    Travel inside the country members of the EU

    Passengers arriving with goods purchased within the E.U. and for personal use only may import for free:

    • 800 cigarettes or 200 cigars or 1kg of smoking tobacco
    • 10 litres of spirits
    • 90 litres of wine
    • 110 litres of beer

    Immigrant coming from a non-member state of the EU

    Passengers arriving from non-E.U. countries and aged 17 years or older may import for free:

    • 250 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco;
    • 1 litre of wine and 1 litre of spirits;
    • a reasonable quantity of cosmetics and medicines for personal use;
    • gifts up to a value of EUR 175.- or its equivalent.
