    Sport and Activities

    Last update: 29/04/2008

The Australian generally do a lot of sports and you will not be short of activities. In the port you can practise sailing, canoeing or windsurfing . And of course you can practise surfing on the numerous beaches of Sydney (as Bondy, Tamarama, Narrabeen, North Avalon or Palm Beach). For diving you will have to go to Manly Beach . Swimmers may like to check out the beaches of the port Cove camp, Neilsen Park,, Balmoral and Chinaman.

But to take advantage at most of the exceptional natural beautyof the region, hiking is the best idea. There are numorous places to visit, for example national parks of Royal National, Ku-Ring-Gai Chase and Sydney Harbour. You can also travel further in to the middle of Australia to discover the deserts and the bush, or you can follow the beaches on the coast (where you can see numerous panoramic paths).

Finally, for those more interested in the traditional sports of Australia, you will find cricket clubs everywhere in the country and just as easily football clubs, or footy (Australian rules of  football) and rugby. Fans of jogging and rollerblading as for them will meet other joggers and rollerbladers on the walks of Bondy and Manly.
