    Community funds for the first phase of the programme amounted to 800 million between 1995 and 2001, and 125 000 people received a grant for a work-related stay abroad.

    The program targets:

    • young people below 28 years with a professional title: it is possible to carry out a job training in a company (for a period between three and twelve months) in the working market of another European State;
    • young university student : it is possible to work for some months (minimum three, maximum twelve) in a company of another European State.

    Information about participating in a Leonardo da Vinci project can be obtained by contacting the Leonardo da Vinci national agencies.
