Commercial centres and shops are usually open from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Wednesday, from 9am to 9pm on Thursday and on Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturday. The " rue Sainte Catherine " is the most famous for shopping. It's also comfortable to shop in the underground department stores when the temperature outside can be -30 degrees C.

It's important to know that prices on the labels are VAT excluded. To know the real price, it's necessary to add a 8.5% tax and a 7% tax on goods and services (i.e. 15.5%).

Anti-tobacco campaigns work: cigarettes are 3 times more expensive.
