    Ski and snowboard activities

Montreal is ideally located about 45 mns away from the Laurentians. The snow is ok and mountains are much smaller than in Europe. The biggest rock (1,000 meters high) is the Mont Tremblant. Other good resort include Saint Anne, Saint Sauveur, Bromont. Transportation is available from Montreal and it costs about CAN $50 return with ski pass for a one day skiing. For those who look for largest resorts, Jay Peak and Sugar Bush in Vermont, USA are about 2 to 2:30 hours from Montreal. It costs about CAN $60 from Montreal, with coaches leaving every week end from January to April. More information on http://www.jaypeakresort.com/page.asp?intNodeID=16238
Car rental is also available from most areas in Montreal. For snowboarders, Saint Sauveurt and Jay Peak are two good resorts.
