The Services Industriels de Genève (SIG) are responsible for water, energy and networks (you need to contact them for a connection set up).

When you move, it's not easy. You have to do a lot of things, and not forget any. For example you need to stop your electricity at your old address and make sure it works at your new one. In order to make things easier for your move, SIG has created a form for those things (to be completed at least 10 days before you change domicile).

    Invoicing

Depending on the chosen option, you will receive 6 to 12 bills each year.

    • In the first case, you will receive an intermediate invoice every 2 months over 10 months. It is established according of your usage last year.
    • In the second case, you will receive a bill over 11 months.

The 12th month, SIG reads the meter and bills or refunds the amount really due. If you live in a building, your water bill will be part of the utilities and will be added to the monthly rent.

You can check directly the status of your account on the Internet by registring on the SIG website.
