I'm not familiar with Zara - is that a city? Any chance you are referring to Zadar? Or the capital of Zagreb? Or perhaps someone knows more about Zara?

As far as Zagreb - the capital - we have a comprehensive Guide to Zagreb. This can help you find the proper resources. Start with the info on Croatian visas and Ministry of the Interior (http://www.mup.hr/default.aspx?id=1257) & they should be able to refer you to the proper authority.

Anyone else have suggestions or info?

    Re: Zadar Municipal Records

Thank you for pointing out the error. The city is Zadar, which was called Zara during the period of Italian occupation.

If someone could steer me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

    I appreciate your feedback.
