Hi all! I just got back from a trip to the Dordogne and was blown away by its beauty.

We are based in Berlin and found cheap flights to Toulouse. From there we rented a car and stayed in an AirBnB in the countryside just outside of Sarlat. We visited so many castles and took a boat tour at gorgeous La Roque-Gageac. We also went to the caves at Rouffignac with drawings dating back 13,000 years.

On this trip we also visited Rocamadour (incredible pilgrimage city built into the rock with excellent goat cheese), Albi, and Carcassonne. It was quite a trip full of charming villages, castles, and incredible landscapes. Can't recommend enough if you are thinking of visiting the south west.
