    Hi
Im living and working in france and so get paid in Euros to my french account.
I still have a UK account and want to transfer some money each month into that for when im visiting home etc.
Does anyone know the best way to get my euros into sterling in my UK account?

I know inthe UK we're lucky to get so much free banking, but my french bank charges for pretty much everything!

Am i best buying sterling and taking it back with me?
    Making an international bank transfer?
Just using my french card in the UK?

    Any help much appreciated!

Use a foreign exchange broker they are cheaper to make transfer. There are quite a lot on the internet. I use RationalFX they are pretty good and reliable www.rationalfx.com. I hope that helps!

    Hi there

I am a mortgage broker and as a result, I deal with a fair amount of clients doing cross-Channel transfers and I can say that all of them have always been very happy with MoneyCorp. I can also vouch for them as I use their services when I go on holiday ot France for my spenign money. Very efficient and reliable and very very good rates. You can look them up online, but happy to give you details for my personal contact at MoneyCorp if you wish.

I heard Money Corp is good! What got me interested in RationalFX is that they do this "Happy Hour" thing where they give you mid-market rate for 1 hour! There is actually one today 4-5pm USD/EUR and GBP/EUR there is a limit though of £5000 and you have to register with them beforehand, they don't let you register in the happy hour. Type in RationalFX on Facebook look for yourself I think you have to like the page to get the code to do it. I've been telling all my friends!

I'm pretty sure the cheapest way to transfer money is through an online company. Check WORKgateways, they have a section that explains how different circumstances call for different kinds of money transfers.
