Are you looking to work for a private company? I would recommend contacting tour companies directly to find out what they require. This will give you an idea of standards and requirements.

I would also recommend contacting expats directly through the network (once you have made a few posts to prevent spam). Or you can check out expat blogs in Italy and see if anyone has advice. We conducted an expat interview with "A Change of Underwear", an expat in Milan, and he is a great resource.

Best of luck! Let us know what you find out.
