Canada too?

Does this 90Day thing work for Canada too?

My fiance and I are currently living in the UK but I am a Canadian Cit.
In March he went to Canada (I was there) on a 9 month visitor visa.
Now we are both in the UK but wish to live in Canada together.
I posted before but got no responce.

Please someone give some information.
Can he enter Canada already? Is there a specific amount of time before he is allowed back (keeping in mind his 9 month visitor visa... the paper he got while going through customs... didn't expire).

If it is easier to get married in Canada and then work out the fine details there, that is what we'd like to do.

I believe its 6 months for the UK passport holders,thats what I got few years back.

I am not familiar with Canadian immigration rules,I am not sure he can switch it while in Canada from visitor to spouse visa.Maybe.

 

I have heard that he can; I just wanted to get some opinions on it.
I know it is possible to apply for permanent res. while in the country, and I assume since Canada is easy-going about PR they would be okay with Spouse Visas, too!
