    Hi everyone,

I'm finally approaching the point where I'm ready to submit for confirmation of citizenship but it occurred to me that with all of my record searching, my family and I will not want to give up some of the original documents.

For example, we have the very original marriage certificate from Germany when my grandparents wed. No one in my family wants to part with that. We also have a Polish-written marriage certificate, which looks to be written by a Polish Catholic Church that must have existed in Germany at the time. These type of documents we could never replace. Has anyone had experience with getting the proper copies of certain records and submitting those instead of originals?

I hope I explained this correctly. If something doesn't make sense, please feel free to ask questions!

    All the best,
    Susan
