I'm going to be studying abroad in Italy this fall at a program that's about 90 days long. I've applied for the student visa for a semester. I was hoping to stay in the Schengen area after the program ended to travel a little more, just for an additional two weeks. If my visa expires and I want to reenter Italy from the Schengen area or Switzerland, is there going to be a problem? I'll have a valid US Passport. I can't really figure out the rules.

    Thank you!
