    Phone OR in person interview

which sort of interview do you prefer?
    Phone OR face to face

both have their own perks and benefits .

    for instance, phone interview
    saves time
    save travelling expenses
    to the point discussion
feels no pressure of direct eye contact
    you can read your notes

whereas in person interviews benefits you because they
they give a chance to show personality strengths
it helps you to stand out depending on the skills.
noting can compensate the significance of direct communication skills.
smooth conversion of follow up questions.

so which kind of interview you prefer ?

I moved your post here where it's better related.

Regarding your question, and in order to add a bit to the discussion, I would say that a phone interview allows first a quick assessment and save time on both side to find the right person/job. Then a face to face interviews allows to confirm the choice and choose after the phone filter.

Also for people looking for a job abroad, the phone interview is often the only solution at first.
