    Hello MALDERA DINO

    In order to complete the inspection formalities when carrying a pet into China, you shall bring it immediately for inspection at the Hongqiao or Pudong Airport Office of the International Airport Station of the Shanghai Exit-Entry Inspection & Quarantine Bureau (hereinafter referred to as Inspection & quarantine Bureau).

    At the time of inspection , you shall submit the following documents :
    1) the effective certificate of rabies vaccine injection issued by the government of the sending State (according to the Chinese law , the rabies vaccine is effective for one year starting from the date of injection , and the latest rabies vaccine must be injected within 30 days before the date of departure); the standard European vaccination book for each pet should do it with all of vaccines updated 30 days prior to leaving (rabies must be at least 30 days prior to departure, but no more than 1 year);
    2) the health certificate issued by the government of the sending State - Airline Health Certificate (APHIS form 7001 with USDA endorsement) = international health certificate to be completed by your veterinarian within 10 days of departure (sometime called export certificate) - the local official veterinary office should stamp the vaccination records and issue the health certificate
    3) the filled-out inspection form.

    According to the regulations, the pet carried into the country from abroad shall be put in quarantine for 30 days at a designated place. If your residence conforms basically with the quarantine requirements and you are willing to co-operate actively with the Inspection & Quarantine Bureau, after the pet passes the preliminary inspection test at the airport inspection office, you may ask the quarantine office to permit you to bring it to your residence, pledging not to carry it out of your residence within 30 days when it is put in quarantine. After obtaining approval, you may carry your pet to your residence on the very day. During the period, the quarantine official has the right to come to your residence for inspection and quarantine on your pet.
