Does anyone have any recommendations, I need to do a large transfer of money from GBP to AUD? I want to find a company or bank that offer me a good rate and some advice on the best time to do the transfer. Thanks, Jessie

Just a quick message and recommendation. I found a currency exchange company called SAT Worldwide and they did a better rate than the banks, it was really simple and quick AND I was able to speak to and deal with one person who could answer all of my questions and offer me suggestions.

    Hi Jessie,

I highly recommend trying to do a transfer online. It will usually save you some money and keep you from driving around and waiting in line at a bank. You need to have a bank account at the country you're sending to. Here's a bunch of info on money transfers:

    Good luck!

I have been expat for years now. And I am used to check on a comparison service.

Recently I created one cuz I considered that others are not accurate.

But these 3 are currently young companies working on an accurate way to compare money transfer solutions:
https://tawipay.com : free, wants to integrate real-time quotes, currently under work, service for migrants
https://bestexchangerates.com : free, UK based, compare banks
    https://moneytis.com : new & free, integrating real-time quotes

This post and the suggestions may be outdated, so here is my recommendation: https://www.transfermate.com. I've been using their services to make large money transfers to USA, Australia and China. The Fees and rates are always better than their competitors. Very happy with the service.

All the best money transfer operators are featured on https://moneytis.com if they share their rates transparently with comparison services.
