I do not know really about a lot of unemployed friend... but in order to meet quickly expatriates in Paris and other interesting people, you can attend to some EuroCircle meeting.
EuroCircle (<http://www.eurocircle.com/>) is an association where you can meet people from different backgrounds. Events may be meeting in a bar at night, theatre or night-clubbing. :beertoast:
