Since August 2011 we have been working with TellusBV (the biggest lead generator in Netherlands) providing a comparison service for International Movers.

Until January 2013 we were paid fairly regularly. However since the beginning of 2013 they announced some small delays in payments. We sent dozen of emails over several months asking at least for regular status and updates on the financial situation but most of them were just fully ignored, or promises never realised to call or contact back were given.

Eventually in August 2013 an offer of some payment was issued for our outstanding invoices up to June 2013, with others paid in September. However they never respected the deal on we did not received anything in September.

    Has Tellus gone bankrupt?

Suspicion was raised on Twitter with @RandySnoyl saying (translated):
and, along with Sicco Igor van Hoegee, CEO & Founder of TellusBV (who ignored all our emails over the months sent to svanhoegee@tellus.com) he mentioned Marc Ludin, CFO.

On Tuesday 8-10-2013 the staff was sent home. Their computers were instantly blocked and later in the week there was more clarification towards the personnel data.

Tellus leaves a trail of unpaid bills (including a bill of over one million ad at Google).
Marc Ludin and Sicco Igor van Hoegee explained to the staff that the main reason was the modified payment from Google. Tellus was investing monthly in Google advertisements about €2 million and they had a payment period of 60 days. But this was later reduced to 30 days by Google, and Tellus started to get acute liquidity problem. Tellus generated most of the leads, namely by advertising at Google . Without these ads they could not operate.

The problems go back to the beginning of this year. But neither Marc Luding nor Sicco Igor Hoegee communicated directly. The staff was not informed and there are rumours that they have secretly registered a new company called Close the Deal BV to restart some business.

In the meantime the staff is looking for new pastures: 1, 2, 3, etc.
