    Hello -

Having a baby abroad can be a particularly nerve-racking experience, but with the help and advice of other expats you can prepare and plan for your pregnancy.

Are you pregnant or plan to become pregnant in Russia ? What questions to you have?

How would you characterize the process? How are doctors’ bedside manners? Are there notable differences between care here and your country of origin? What prenatal vitamins are common?

Have you had a baby abroad? What advice can you give, or what do you wish you had known before giving birth in Russia ? Can you recommend a gynecologist or specialist in Russia ? What hospitals or clinics would you recommend?

Please share your experiences, tips, advice and questions here to improve upon the experience of giving birth abroad. Thanks! :)

Hii thanks for posting this. My husband is Russian American and I am from America. I have been living in Russia for two years. I am expecting a baby now. We are very excited and happy for our baby. We want to give a Russian name to our baby. I have goggled it but thought, it would be great if I would take suggestions from people through communication.

Difficult to help about names as this is very personal...

However maybe you can tell us more about the birth and how is it to prepare for a baby in Russia?

See you soon on the forum
