Did you try the FUSAC (FRANCE USA CONTACTS)? They have a website now too: www.fusac.fr ;they usually list different services and some English speaking psychologists may advertise. They also have some ads at the American Church or may have an anglophone phone book there.

    TO LAURA:

Did you locate a (any) directory of English-speaking psychologists, or therapists in Paris? I'd very much like to have such a list as I work with expat families and this would be quite helpful.

    Sincerely,
    Ken

    English speaking physiotherapist in France

    Hi,

In a couple of months, I'll get married to an Australian. She graduated Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney, worked there for a year and another 2 years in Ireland to which we moved in 2002. Now we would like to go to France and I'm just wondering how tricky it may be for her to find work there.

1- Is there in France any demand for English-speaking Physios who speak English (she also speaks Chinese and Vietnamese) and can get by in French ?
2- How tricky is it to have her degree recognised by the French?

If you're a non EU citizen, your experience may give us an idea how what's waiting for us. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks.

    Hi
i was told (by someone i know who's seen her) that there's a good english (and french) speaking psychologist in paris, near bastille, who's not too expensive (they can tend to be real pricey here and no secu covers the cost!). Her name is kirpalani, 06 35 02 49 84.
    Good luck!

    Hello,
I would like to respond to the question concerning English speaking therapists in Paris.
When you need a therapist, it really helps if you can find a competent one and quickly. This was the case with us when we lived in Paris. And fortunately we found the rare gem.
I can suggest a site: Anglo-info. They have a comprehensive list of English speaking therapists.
I can also tell you whom we consulted: Dr. Barzin who practices in the 7th district of Paris. He proved to be extremely competent and efficient for us. He's very international and specializes in therapy of people from other cultures.
Another source of good information may be the American Church in Paris and Fusac.
    I wish you good luck,
    Joan
