Hello all,

Im seriously debating about moving to Sydney from the UK. I have been offerd a couple of positions within a company and the salary is between 70 and 100k a year. Depending on which one i go for.

I have been looking at properties to rent in the north of sydney, some really nice ones for around £500pcm. I only need a 1 bed apartment for me and my girlfriend.

Just a couple of questions, I should be taking home around 5k a month post tax, so would this be enough to live off as not sure what types of bills etc I will be paying in Sydney. Also in regards to my Visa, from what i have read i can only apply for a 2 year working visa, then have to come back to the UK. Is this true?

Tax depended on how much you spend but 5k is sufficent in Sydney.
