I am moving to Seville in under two months and I still haven't really met anyone my own age who lives there. I have searched these forums high and low and I am starting to get really scared. I have a job in a British School out there which I am really excited about but I don't want to be lonely...
If there is anyone in their 20s or early to mid 30s who would like to get in touch and maybe even go out for a drink in Seville sometime over the summer please get in touch! There is a big university in Seville, I can''t be the only Brit there can I?
I was on holiday in Seville last year. It is a very VERY nice city, with a right size (meaning that you can mostly walk from 1 point to another). They ave this very good free bike scheme (same bikes as the Velib system in Paris). You can get a pass for 1 year (~40€ probably) or for 1 week (~5€ or something not expensive anyway). I tried 2 hotels and the second one a bit further from the tourist places, just on the other side of the river, was in a nice and quiet location, but still active neighbourhood with locals.
You do not need to get scared. Sevilla is a nice city, you can try to make friends by going to an international places such as the Flaherty's pub where you will hear a lot of english and meet new people.
