I am a British Citizen currently living in the Dominican Republic. Whilst here have married a Dominican and had two daughters who have British (EU) Passports. Now work is taking me to Spain and of course we have to go. Problem is my Dominican Husband has to obtain a visa for Spain and can only apply for a "Reagrupacion Familiar" as a Tourist Visa was declined we believe based on the length of my contract with a British Company in Spain being longer than 3 months. Want I want to know is how likely is it that he will get this Reuniting a family Visa as I am desperate not to be separated from him for too long for the childrens sake as well as mine. Anyone with information about what docs etc are required as time is getting close and I have to leave here to start work in Spain end of March and my husband can't technically apply for this Visa until me and the children have departed and gone to Spain. The Spanish Embassy/Consulate here in Dominican Republic tell me it will take two weeks to process the Visa application but I am worried we may end up stranded and separated for much longer and I can't do that to my lovely girls who adore their daddy. Any information or experiences will be much appreciated.
