Here is my case:
I'm colombian my husband french, I asked for a family permit in the embassy in Paris, I send all my papers by mail and have everything back less than one week later, including the permit of course. It was a 6 months permit.
Then, we came to the UK, few weeks before my permit expired I asked for a FLR(M) One week after I applied I received a letter saying my application was received.
After 1 or 2 months of wait, I call them to know how long it was going to take, they said it could take up to 14 weeks, after the 14 weeks has passed I called them againg, they said it could take 14 more weeks,
So, I applied by the end of march and the maximum (if they don't decide to change the rules at the last moment) my application can take is the end of september.
I must said we have been married for 6 years, we have a child and we provide enough evidence about our economic self-sufficiency.
